Androscoggin Bank is pleased to announce it appointed four new Corporators at its 2024 Annual Meeting. As active leaders within their communities and respective fields, they offer valuable perspectives that will enhance the Bank’s economic and community driven endeavors. The four new Corporators are Margo Walsh, Jennifer Packard, Bill Skelton and Kerem Durdag.
“We’re thrilled to welcome this exceptional group of business and community leaders, each bringing a diverse range of expertise and experience,” stated Neil Kiely, President and CEO of Androscoggin Bank. “Their contributions will play a pivotal role in advancing our efforts to serve our clients and local communities.”
Margo Walsh grew up in Cumberland, Maine, graduated from Waynflete School in Portland, Maine and received a BA in Psychology from Wheaton College. After college, Margo worked in New York within the Investment Banking Division at Goldman, Sachs & Co. leading college and MBA recruiting. Later Margo moved to Connecticut and worked for the international consulting firm, Hewitt. Margo Walsh founded MaineWorks in 2011 to provide employment opportunities for people in reentry from jail and prison and in recovery from Substance Use Disorder. MaineWorks was the first company in Maine to be certified as a B Corp, balancing mission and margin. MaineWorks has grown to include three New England states and is ready for expansion into other markets.
Jennifer Packard has navigated diverse landscapes. 25 years in Germany, 10 as a BMW AG consultant, followed by a decade managing a South African wine estate. In 2014, she co-founded Alodyne LLC and remains a board member, championing sustainable energy services. President and co-founder of PK Realty Management LLC, she is guided by principles of economic sustainability, renewal, and restoration across a diverse portfolio of real estate assets in the Greater Portland Area. She is project advisor for the transformation of Yard South, a One Planet Living community, located on the Eastern Waterfront in South Portland. She is also a certified composting consultant as well as a systems business coach in Germany.
Bill Skelton is a partner at Skelton, Taintor & Abbott in Lewiston and has more than 30 years of experience in real estate law. After working as a title examiner, he graduated from Franklin Pierce Law School in 1997 and has focused his legal practice on representing buyers, sellers and lenders in all aspects of residential and commercial conveyancing and lending. In recent years, his practice has focused on working with solar energy companies on projects throughout Maine and the Northeast. He has also worked for a national title insurance company determining the insurability of residential and commercial real estate transactions and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. He is active in the Auburn-Lewiston community and has held a number of Board roles in his career to date.
Kerem Durdag is an executive leader of people and companies bringing out the best of their talents and aspirations, taking into consideration all stakeholders having over 25 years of experience directing world-class teams in the manufacturing and technology sectors. Currently he is Chief Executive Officer of GWI, a leading ISP/telco in Maine. He is also the founder and managing partner of the Indus Fund which works with banks to provide micro-loans to immigrant business owners. A long-time advocate for the inclusion of immigrant and refugee voices in societal conversation and extremely passionate about doing his part to close the economic and digital divide, he also serves as a Trustee of the Maine College of Art and Design and is a member of the Maine angel investing community. He is also a published poet, librettist and is a producer of short feature and animation films.
